Jawbone Canyon
This place takes about 3 hours to get to from Fresno. It's an
absolutely beautiful place - but you really should be on a 250cc or better to
truly enjoy yourself. To make these hills consistently, a 125cc just doesn't
have the guts. I hit the hill in the bottom picture at least 20 times, starting
as far back as an 1/8th mile from where my 250cc buddies started, nailing this
thing, and only made it to the top a couple of times. The guys with 250's made
it up no problem most of the time. You can still have fun on anything
though.
There are miles and miles of tracks and it's a good idea to ride with a team
of guys in case of a breakdown, etc. Take lots of water, and lots of gas
and spare everything. Camping is permitted, but there are no facilities,
such as hookups, water, toilets, etc. - so take a camper or something.
